Meet Other 2012ers

Hypnagognic pnemonia.

It’s always in me to discuss and recently I was trying to state the difference between Hypnagognic sleep and lucid dreaming.   Pertaining to astral projection. I find often thats it’s hard to explain something when you don’t really know yourself.   In the world we live in its getting inexcusible to simply not know, in fact in certain cases its dangerous to not know.
Not to mention how easy it is to find an answer , just put it in a search engine and read away.
Interestingly the subject we were debating is the feasability of time travel. Or really the paradoxes of time travel. Shockingly I’m mildly pro on the subject, due to astral projection.
While the subject rarely comes up I have projected at least four times , not a lot but enough to feel the sensation.   My point to our debate was that in astral projection the theory is that you can not only travel any distance, but also any time you choose.    Since the thing we have been discussing was that you couldn’t go back in time to change your life because then you wouldn’t be the person who went back in time.
Theres some good stuff on time travel. I was lucky the guy I was talking to was one of those big brain , possibly indigo kid.  Another subject but there’s some very smart kids out there.
Fortunately we agreed that the time travel I had done would not be a paradox.    Since I have traveled back and forward.   Luckily I have always felt that you couldn’t remove a part of your history without changing your whole , and while I could be much better I don’t feel the need for a complete reboot.   I was concerned if after seeing my future/fate if that knowledge changed it.
Before you laugh in astral projection I have time traveled. I have done it but I’m still not sure it’s real, I know the feeling is real, but its very close to dreaming, which is where hypnagognia comes in.  One definition being between awake and a sleep.   Which I thought we all were.
Then there is lucid dreaming which was actually linked to astral projection . Lucid dreaming or dream awareness is interesting but not the same as astral projection , I’ve long did lucid dreaming, its not the same thing, I would even guess its not the same part of the brain.  While a lot of smart people studied dreams most of the stuff I was getting was thirty forty years old.
But I like to learn even though I worry about hypochondria, after all I have or had almost all the sleep disorders listed in the links.  Even the stuff I hadn’t heard of like sleep paralysis, which is what it says when you wake up and are unable to move.
Then maybe I caught the big one dream yoga.   According to some geiser tibetan yogi figured it out that not only are dreams unreal but so is life.   Life is just a dream.   His point was that in life things are always changing just as in your dreams , so neither are real.   Again this makes sense the world seems surreal because it is.
I have to move a little faster if I want to make a point, I will look again into dream yoga but we are basically talking about five different stages of dream control.   There’s of course many techniques to achieve the first step which is the same as in lucid dreaming , becoming aware that you are dreaming. If you havent done this do it.   I’d ignore most if not all the machines available , yes they have them, even a mask to train you to become aware that your dreaming.   If you want a nice easy way to do this try the mad cowboy method.
As you go to sleep , repeat to yourself that you will look at your hands in your dream. When you can look at your hands you not only have dream awareness you also have stage 2 control of your self in your dream. For nightmare sufferers especially young kids struggingly with night tormentors this can be a big step to controlling their dreams and being able to sleep more regularly. Thats basically when and why I first became dream aware.
If you need practice a good first step I to know when you are dreaming , this is easist by noticing the elements in your dream and noting that they constantly are changing, if you look at something and turn away when you look back it will be different.  This is dream awareness.    The rest of the steps include a lot of practice , they include dream control , divided into being able to control and change the objects in your dream and then being able to control and change yourself.  Another step is the removal of fear from your dreamstate. This is hard I don’t know how many times I have woke myself up just at the wrong time.  In fact staying in the dream is one of the major parts that takes practice. The experts say that turning around or rubbing your hands in the dream will prolong the dreamstate.  And one for the old partiers Carlos Castaneda says that touching your tongue to the roof of your mouth will calm you and keep you focused.
As usual I was wrong there is a sixth stage if you master the others your ready to go meet buddha or the god of your choice I guess.
So now I’m getting off topic, but I have personally had a lot of fun lucid dreaming including when you realize and test that the laws of nature don’t apply , in a dream.   As much fun as it is its not the same as astral projection.  Though I can see the similarities, for one thing you enter or exit really in astral projection from a conscience state. That is why I think of it as having a hypnagognic incedent, or pnemonia, and the boogie woogie blues too right.
The first time I heard that word was in a long lost book that debunked almost everything. The debunker said that their was no such thing as astral projection it was hypnagognic sleep. That your not out of your body your just in a different type of dream.  This was his answer to a lot of things , almost all psychic activity , even ghosts.
And while I still think its hard to believe everything I have seen along those lines is just a dream , except that makes the yogi right because of course it was just a dream, everything is.  And while I’m dreaming I’m typing my dream research.
A couple of more disorders I can dig were tetris syndrom all though for me it was pac man, it’s the images that you see when your trying to go to sleep, usually from watching or playing video, or a repetative task , I get it when I’m editing video late at night.
Had this one sort of , false awakenings where you dream you awaken.   I had it even worse, I once dreamed I went to school and sat down at my desk and fell asleep and dreamed I was at school falling asleep . I had to awaken in each of those different dreams , then actually get up and go to school. For a long time I was not sure if I was awake or still in one of those dreams. In fact wouldn’t that be kind of rough if I was to wake up and find I dreamed my whole life, not only that I’d have to do it all over again this time for real.
Thank buddha for the yogi, because its all a dream.
I hope I haven’t been too boring and gone on too long even though I still don’t know whats real and which is a dream its better that way.    An incidently as I was reading this stuff I came across a term I hadn’t seen before    Transpersonal psychology.   Where have I been?  from the story people, it is like a hybrid branch of psychology dealing with the transcient side or spiritual occult side of life.
I’m looking into it and if I get bored enough I’ll let you know . An aside is that I’d be interested in telling some tall tales of my lucid dreaming with an other practitioners out there.
Not to get all bad mouthy but can you imagine the potential twighlight zone episode of waking up and its 1999 and someone tells you there voting for bush , what’s the difference.   Anyway I hope you all have sweet dreams .   Peace and love B.

Dec 21 2011 is -366 Day

Like a NASA rocket launch, we can create a 2012 countdown. While several 2012 countdowns have been running for some time, an "official" countdown would have more gravity. I don't need to explain the power of "this time next year" and how it can translate globally. So rather than just suggesting, I am stating: Dec 21 2011 will be known as -366 day. The reference to the leap year could lessen the

Asteroids: We Aren't Prepared

NASA is looking, and does find asteroids. Unfortunately their efforts are far from comprehensive, and our planet is woefully under-prepared relative to our technical capabilities. A few months back New Scientist published what will hopefully be a wake-up call to politicians globally:The asteroid is on a collision course with Earth. It is the size of a skyscraper and it's big enough to raze a city

2012 Forum - Becoming Very International

With almost 6000 members and over 200,000 posts, 2012 forum has started to attract folk from more and more diverse parts of the planet. Here's a quick peek at how truly global the 2012 meme has become:Russian survivalist shows off his amphibious armored vehicle, purchased for "1500 $ + 20 bottles of vodka + 1 pig"A Scottish lass dreamed that she was at a "dock on top of a mountain unloading a

What if nothing happens in 2012?

This is a common question, and one that especially concerns 2012 prophets, 2012 fearmongers, and 2012 spiritual evolutionists - for they could all have egg on their face.First of all, there's a good chance something will happen, because most years somewhere in the world there is a major story. 2012 will still have legs, because proponents of the meme will say things like:that earthquake / volcano

WR 104 - Potential Space Nasty

I really like "bad astronomy" articles, but even more so when they admit they are scared. In this instance it is a binary star known as Wr 104. At a distance of 5000-8000 light years a supernova is not expected to harm us. But a Gamma Ray Burst might, especially if it is aimed straight at us!GRBs are a special type of supernova. When a very massive star explodes, the inner core collapses, forming
